Bronnercom Corporate Style Guide
Client: Bronnercom (now Digitas),
Boston MA
When Bronner Slosberg Humphrey and Strategic Interactive
Group combined to form Bronnercom, they needed an entirely new
logo identity and the rules for its use. Having been pleased with
my work on the Harcourt style guide, they brought me in again
to work on their in-house piece. Once again, I was dropped into
process with a logo almost, but not quite, worked out and all
the rest up in the air.
After a fair amount of logo exploration and rule
development, I created a 90-page Corporate Style Guide documenting
the new logo and Bronnercom brand identity. In the midst of this
project, Bronnercom changed its name again to Digitas, so this
project never made it into final production.
My work on the project included:
- logo exploration and finalization of the Bronnercom
logo
- development of a complete logo system, including
special versions for use at small sizes, on dark backgrounds,
online, etc.
- development of stationery based on final logo
- creation of rules for the use of the logo, including
examples of "logo don'ts"
- writing the entire style guide that describes
the logo system and provides examples of its use in a variety
of media (on products, in multimedia, packaging, forms, etc.)
- designing the book itself
